TUTTLE WINS HIS SECOND CAREER MAJOR
ON TOUR
May 18, 2008
WILLIAMSBURG, Virginia (TAGT) – Virginia Beach’s Chris Tuttle placed 2nd in last year's
Tidewater Masters to Harry Black. In 2008, Tuttle ran the table after once again leading the
first round at Colonial Golf Club host site to the 2008 Tidewater Masters.
With a total field of 137 players and a $8000 dollar player purse Tuttle came out on top of all
with the lowest two-day score and the Championship Flight Trophy.
Tuttle was the 2007 Open Champion at Bide-A-Wee Golf Course in August. He placed in the
Top-15 at the 2007 Tour Championship in Hilton Head as well.
After the tournament Tuttle would say "Colonial will make even a good putter think twice
about how good they really are". These comments come because the greens where double
cut each morning and the tournament had some tricky pin locations.
With this victory Tuttle moves into First place in the Championship Flight Point Standings.
This was Tuttle's second victory in 2008, his first came at Oceana on the Hornet GC (72).
In the Championship Flight it looks like Tuttle is the one to Chase, playing in four events
already in 2008, he has earned $1100 in Gift Cards - With a Top-Three finish in all four.
