DEJESUS MAKES A BIRDIE ON THE FIRST
PLAYOFF HOLE TO WIN
May 18, 2008

WILLIAMSBURG, Virginia (TAGT) – After a packed leaderboard on Saturday in the B-Flight
with a host of 87's, it didn't take long to become a two-man show.

DeJesus vs. Kirkpatrick

Both players played in the final group on Sunday in the tour's B-Flight.  First round leader
Shawn Kirkpatrick (82) and Richard DeJesus (86) would battle it out across the final 18
holes in rain and heavy winds.

At the end, DeJesus would tie Kirkpatrick and force a Sudden death playoff on #1.  Most
times making Par will win the playoff or at least force another hole.  Kirkpatrick wasn't that
lucky on Sunday as DeJesus made a birdie from within 6 feet to win the Tidewater Masters.

Kirkpatrick - winner from Stonehouse (79) and B-Flight Points Leader has become a force
and will continue to do so, but now he has some company.  DeJesus jumped from 18th
place into 3rd place.

Tour Director Lyle Joyner said, "Richard DeJesus was really hitting it well on Saturday and
watching that I would love to see him on the VA-LA Challenge Cup Team in 2008".
