WILLIAMSBURG, Virginia (TAGT) – Maurice "Mo" Pascual was a winner twice in 2007 and
also was the First Round leader at the local-finals in 2007. Pascual wanted to start the 2007
season in the Championship Flight and thru six tournaments he had an 87.28 scoring
average.
Making the move prior to the Tidewater Masters paid off for Pascual who recorded a 78-81-
159 two day total and a three-stroke victory over Bob Burinskas.
Since 2006, Burinskas has four runner-up finishes in Tour Majors. This marks the second
already in 2008 after he went to a playoff against Joe Ignatovich at The Player's
Championship. Burinskas fired a second round 76 at Colonial on Sunday to make a move
and to jump into second in the points race behind Ignatovich.
Maurice Pascual made a move into the 7th place spot after moving down from
Championship Flight and collecting 900 points for the Masters victory.
Pascual was a part of the VA-LA Challenge Cup in 2007 and looks to gain a spot in the Ryder
Cup style tournament once again and help Virginia bring home the cup in 2008.
