The Tidewater Tour OPENS the Tour Season on March 20th!
By Lyle Joyner, AGTVA.NET
The 2009 Tour Season was another big success,
but the 2010 season looks to be the best yet. The
season will kick off on March 20th at Cahoon
Plantation in Chesapeake, VA.
A local's favorite and one that has become a main
stay on the Tidewater Tour. "One of if not the best
course in Tidewater" said Joyner.
Some of the best Tour rounds have been recorded
at the New Cahoon Plantation, and with great
conditions I am sure that will continue.
This year the Championship & A Flights will have a
chance to begin March on a totally bent grass golf
course, and at a little shorter yardage then normal.

Things to look for in 2010 on the Tidewater Amateur Golf Tour.
1.) The Tidewater Amateur Golf Tour is currently going thru the process to join the Virginia State Golf Association (VSGA) as a Member Club. More details in
the next Backspin Newsletter.
2.) 2010 Tour Flight Handicap Brackets - "Yes the Flight Ranges have changed for 2010" few below.
Championship Flight: 0.0 - 3.9
A Flight: 4.0 - 8.9
B Flight: 9.0 - 13.9
C Flight: 14.0 - 18.9
D Flight: 19.0 and above
3.) The eGolf Amateur Tour has begun a "New" Handicap policy for the upcoming Tour Season. All Tours will follow this system for 2010.
Example of the System: Based off of your last 11 Tour Scores, counting the BEST 7 will determine your Tour Handicap.
4.) The TRIPLE Bogey rule for all Flights other than the Championship Flight will be back in for 2010.
5. Question: Will the New Groove Technology effect us on the Tidewater eGolf Tour? No, we will not be effected by this.
